In Ontario, every commercial motor vehicle with a registered gross weight over 4,500 kg must display its CVOR number, NSC number, or carrier name and address on both sides. Cross-border trucks also need USDOT numbers visible from 50 feet.
This applies to dump trucks, flatbeds, cube vans, tow trucks, delivery vehicles, and any vehicle operating under a CVOR certificate.
